Graceland University Basketball Coach Taylor Langley

Graceland University is happy to announce that it has hired Taylor Langley as its head men’s basketball coach. Langley joins Graceland from the NAIA’s University of Michigan-Dearborn and brings with him extensive post-season experience. Langley’s team competed in the 2017-18 national tournament that Graceland won in overtime on a last-second shot.

Graceland University announces that the project to renovate and enhance Morden Center, the university’s iconic gymnasium, commenced last week.  After two years of planning, much of it amidst a pandemic, the university is thrilled to begin the construction phase. Originally built in 1969 and formerly known as the Eugene and Julia Closson Physical Education Center, the building was renamed after Graceland alumni and supporters, Paul ’36 and Louise ’43 Morden, in 2019.

Senior Director of Development Kristi Hettrick

Graceland University Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Kelly W. Everett ‘77, announced Kristi Hettrick ‘96 has joined the staff as Graceland University Senior Director of Development and serves as a field officer. Hettrick assumed her role in January and will oversee the annual #Grateful4Graceland Day of Giving on March 18, 2021.

Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance

Graceland University has a new master’s program from its popular health and movement science division. Launched in the spring of 2021, the Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance degree is an affordable and customizable program that provides students with a great opportunity to develop the necessary skills to advance their careers in the health care industry, as well as many others.

Friday, Feb. 26, the Graceland University combined choirs will present their first concert of the spring semester: "Of Love and Light." This concert will feature the concert choir, chamber singers and the Graceland Harmonium under the direction of Graceland Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities Sara Blessing. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Shaw Family Auditorium.
